The Sebastian Sweater is an oversized jumper with a crew neck and dropped shoulders, and of course, with a statement lobster motif on the front!

This is a PDF file that can be downloaded immediately after purchase, it is not a physical product. It is written in English.

SKILL LEVEL:
Intermediate.

TECHNIQUES USED:
Cast on, 1x1 ribbing, stockinette stitch, casting off, picking up stitches, knitting in the round, colour chart reading and intarsia knitting.

Although this pattern is primarily designed for intarsia knitting, it is possible to avoid this technique by using a ‘duplicate stitch’ instead – this may make the pattern more accessible for Advanced Beginners.

SIZES:
XS (S) M (L) XL (2X) 3X (4X) 5X. Based on bust circumference XS: 28-30” S: 32-34” M: 36-38” L: 40-42” XL: 44-46” 2X: 48-50” 3X: 52-54” 4X: 56-58” 5X: 60-62”

I recommended reviewing the sizing table in the listing photos, which details the approximate measurements of the final jumper (after being blocked and laid flat). This allows you to have control over how oversized you’d like your final jumper to be.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES:
4.5mm circular knitting needles (80cm or 100cm)
5mm circular knitting needles 80cm or 100cm)
Tapestry needle

YARN REQUIREMENTS:
You will hold 1 strand of Aran weight yarn throughout the whole piece (ColourLab 100% British Wool Aran, 100g/166m/182yds).

• Colour A - Cream - 500g (500g) 500g (600g) 600g (700g) 700g (800g) 800g
• Colour B – Red - All sizes: 50g required
• Colour C – Blue - All sizes: < 50g required
• Colour D – Black (optional lobster eyes) - Only around 30cm required

Note: With Colour C & D, where very little yarn is used, holding 2 strands of DK weight yarn should be okay (if you are looking to use up some scrap yarn).

ALTERNATIVE YARN:
You will need to calculate the meterage/yardage required for your chosen, alternative yarn. I recommend using https://yarnsub.com/ to identify a close alternative yarn.

GAUGE:
10cm x 10cm should be approx. 16 stitches x 23 rows on 5mm needles.
